craigdurling > Rescue personnel from Los Angeles area departments tend to victims of an early morning Metrolink commuter train collision in Glendale, California January 26, 2005.  Over forty victims were transported and several fatalities were reported including one uniformed LA County Deputy Sheriff riding one of the trains.  The derailment is reported to have been caused by an automobile parked or stopped on the tracks at a nearby crossing.  Two commuter trains and a freight train were involved.
